Yearly Archives: 2008

Merry Christmas!

It’s Christmas Eve and I wanted to do a shout-out to anyone who might be looking at my lonely blog.  I’ve been taking some time for myself and my family – and it has been really nice.  I have so much to be thankful for this year – but most of all my family.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday and in the words of my daughter… a “really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really” Happy New Year!

Picture courtesy of my brother in law – with my handy point & shoot camera! :)

PS – To those of you waiting on galleries – I’m hoping for first thing next week.  Thank you so much for your patience!

beautiful and bittersweet

My last session.   I can’t believe it!  The last three months have been so busy I’ve hardly had time to think about baby #2 – who will be here in 6 short weeks.  And now, with my last session done, I must face the reality of what is to come – AND get ready (which I haven’t started either).

But enough about me – let’s get to the good stuff!  Mom is going to get lots of pictures in this post – since it’s my last session of 2008.  I had a really nice morning.   Little miss “L” is two weeks old and her older brother is just over 2 years old.  I’m completely fascinated by the sibling relationships now – wondering what is in store for me.  Mom really wanted a few pictures of brother and sister together, and we tried really hard, but it’s hard to force (or even bribe) a two-year-old to do anything they don’t want to do.  These first two pictures made me laugh – he was holding baby sister for a minute (or maybe 30 seconds), then he just put her down and moved over – not sure what to do next.  You have to wonder what’s going through his head when he looks at her.   Hmmmmm…..

Mom and daughter – so sweet.

Look how sweet she is – Miss “L” stayed awake for quite a while in the beginning.

But, of course, she fell asleep (they can’t resist my heater….)

She slept so nice – I got to move her all around and take lots of snuggly pictures.

I wanted to end with this sweet picture of big brother.  He was so cute and playful – just fighting for all of mom’s attention.  We had fun playing with the trains and blocks – and he let me take several pictures of him (without baby sister of course!).

the twins again

I can’t believe it – my second session with these beautiful boys already!  You can click HERE to see how much they’ve grown.  Mom and Dad are so relaxed and fun.  I honestly can’t imagine having two babies the same age – but they seem to handle it so well.

Are these two adorable or what???

And the big blue eyes – sooooo cute!

I knew this would be one of my favorites when I snapped the shutter.

This one was towards the end – we were working hard to get a few more shots.  I just love the look on their faces – something like “lady – are you done YET???”

six weeks old – oops – I mean 10 weeks old!

It’s been a while since I photographed a “older newborn”.  I say “older” because after about 2 weeks, they aren’t quite as curly and sleepy – but I forgot how cute these little ones can be.  He was wide awake for most of the session and quite the wiggle worm too.  Mom and Dad seemed very relaxed and happy – we had a fun shoot.

Meet Mr. “M”

the question always is…. will the eyes stay blue???

sweet little fingers…

the whole family….

and he finally fell asleep…. love this one with mom.

Ho-ho-ho

The holidays are FAST upon us – and I don’t even have my xmas decorations up yet!  We pulled in our neighborhood the other day and Kylie said “Look Mommy, Kyle’s house is so pretty – it has Christmas on it!”.  That made me feel REALLY behind! :)

So this morning I dragged my husband out for a quick 15 minute holiday session with the K-bear so I could finally get OUR holiday card done.  The weather was dreary – but it still worked out.  As most of you know, I love to do pictures in the same pose or place as the kids grow – it’s amazing to see the change – and it definitely makes you wonder where the time went.  We also went inside and did a picture on Santa’s lap – the same place as last time but I can’t really post that one, since it’s not my picture – you know those copyright laws! :)  I couldn’t believe she did it, since she’s been so wary of strangers lately.

I loved these two pictures – a creative family portrait don’t you think?  Can you see Mommy & Daddy in the ornament?

And – look how much she’s grown.  The look on her face in this picture is so hysterical to me!

My little Santa Claus!  This is the same hat that I take pictures in every year.  My baby is growing up….
