just had to share….

I’m so excited because the Showcase School of Photography asked for permission to use one of my images on their website for the Fall/Winter Session of Classes.  If you are interested in photography this is a great place to get started – or just get a feel for all the buttons on your digital camera.  My image is displayed on the page for the “People Photography One” class which I actually participated in about a year ago.  It was GREAT!  It definitely helped me advance my picture-taking skills to the next level.  Click HERE to see the page.

And…. here’s the image they are using… which just happens to be one of my very favorite images!  AND, to make it even more special, this little lady had open-heart surgery very soon after I did this session and she has made a full recovery!  I’ll be taking more pictures of her very soon…… :)

big blue eyes

This was my first time meeting this family.  Little miss “E” was very adventurous and happy – but definitely wise to my tricks for getting her to look at the camera.  That’s okay though, I’m used to the 2-year-old independence, I’ve got one of my own!

Mom and dad told me up front that she is a “BIG TIME Daddy’s Girl” and they weren’t kidding – BUT, as you can see below – there were kisses for mommy too!

another year older…

I can’t even begin to tell you how fun these two kids were this weekend.  So happy and sweet with each other and their mom & dad.  We had so much fun – and the session was done in record time!  I got so many great images, it’s nearly impossible to pick a favorite – so I made a couple storyboards to post as well. :)

First up – this is one of my favorites – I was taking a picture of Mom & Dad but couldn’t resist getting the two kids in the background – hamming it up!

looking for a cute holiday gift????

I’ve been working on some new products for the holiday season – and this one makes me very excited.  It will be a 2009 calendar with your favorite pictures.  Not the old-fashioned-hang-on-your-wall calendar, but instead, these will be individual 5×7 textured prints that you will change each month in a frame.  Then, at the end of the year, you can keep all of the pictures – in the included gift box or inserted into a photo album. 

I’m thinking GREAT grandparents gift! :)  This is just a sneak peak of the format/layout – I’ll have more information on the packaging and display later….

You already saw the “expecting” pictures (click HERE) so these are a few of the “arrival” pictures.  I had such a nice time. Mom, dad and big sis are so sweet and fun.  Mom even let me put her precious little baby on top of a bookshelf!  I can usually count on the second-time moms to be comfortable enough to do stuff like that.
