precious six week old

This little guy was as sweet as could be.  He was awake for most of the session but hardly fussed at all.  Mom gave me a project – to get a picture of his dimples.  Dad gave me a project – to get a picture with the GEORGIA gear!  We accomplished both – yeah!

First up – a pose mom wanted to try.  :)

Ta-da!  Dimples!

Mom and Dad were so sweet with their little man.  What a beautiful family!

Dad, forgive me — I promise I have other pictures for you, but this one really speaks volumes.  It was the end of the session and we were playing the “passy game” with poor Mr. B so that we could get a few final pictures in his Georgia attire.   This is how he felt about the whole charade!   He fell into a nice deep sleep after this……

happy birthday!

It was little sister’s birthday party at 11am so both kids were happy and excited for the big day – AND, we got to have fun with some balloons to celebrate!   This family lives just a few houses down from a beautiful path and open field – it was great for pictures.  I had such a nice time with the kids – and mom and dad were up for anything as well.

Now that I have a girl AND a boy of my own, I’m so drawn to images that really capture the brother/sister relationship.  It’s really special – don’t you think?

Awwwwwwwww……

Oh – and a plug for mom because I LOVE the colors she chose for everyone – PERFECT!

love, love, love….

As I captured these images I knew that I was going to love them.  When I got home and browsed through to choose a few for the blog, I was captivated by the relationship between brother and sister.  The best word to describe it is “love”.  I haven’t seen the twins, miss A and mister C, since they were just 1 year old – and now they are THREE!   They were both full of smiles for the entire session and I had a great time with the whole family.   It was wet from the rain the night before, and cloudy all morning – but that didn’t stop us from having an amazing time.  These are the special moments that I truly enjoy capturing.  Children just being themselves.

Doesn’t it make you smile???

new prop

Thanks to my awesome husband, I got some time yesterday to go “prop hunting”.   I found some great new stuff – mostly for newborns – but a 6 month old works too.  What do you think of this cool new background?

I tell my clients all the time that one of the best times to photograph your child is when they can sit up but can’t crawl yet.   They are generally very happy wherever you put them AND they give you these great stares.

GT2

And another upside, sometimes your 3 year old gets jealous, takes off her shirt and joins in the fun!  ;)

Sun Flare

I thought I would share a fun picture I took this morning.  I showed up at the park for a morning session – and then realized I scheduled the session for Sunday morning – not Saturday!  Sometimes my Mommy-Brain gets the best of me!  I’ve been trying not to schedule many weekend sessions so I think I’m out of practice!

Anyway – I got to play around a bit with some new techniques and I thought this one turned out kind of cool!

Stay tuned for a post about the Fall, Holiday Sessions, deadlines, etc.  Happy Saturday!
