Monday love…

Another edition of Monday Love…

Something personal: I love to eat.  I basically have no willpower when it comes to food.  So, it’s time to conquer this challenge and gain control over the food that runs my life – and hence has caused my waistline (and other areas) to grow.  I have made the decision to learn the Weight Watchers plan and so far I’m really loving it.  I can eat most of what I want, but I have to be creative and not eat quite so much of it.  I’m learning, and I have a long way to go.  But it feels good so far, especially the few pounds that are already gone!

In case you find it interesting, I thought I would share my 29 points that I ate today….

Breakfast: Kashi Go Lean (1/3 cup), Fat Free Milk (1/2 cup), Blueberries & Banana, Latte  (6 Points Total)

Lunch: Black Beans & Rotelle Tomatoes (1/3 cup) with a teaspoon fat free sour cream, 1/8 avocado, and lettuce, on a whole wheat tortilla (5 Points Total)

Snack: Small Bowl of home-made veggie soup (ZERO points!).  Yes, I made it myself – super easy!!

Dinner: Grilled Swordfish, Broccoli, home-made cheese fries (a WW recipe!) – (12 points)

Dessert: Jello Chocolate Pudding cup (3 points)

It’s funny that I have this feeling of accomplishment – like I beat the system or something – because I ate stuff I really like and STILL stayed within the guidelines.   I have never tried to truly change my eating habits before, so this is a new adventure for me.  Wish me luck – and feel free to share any inspiration!  🙂

Something cool: I have taken several classes at the Showcase School of Photography and have loved all of my instructors.  In looking at their updated course schedule I noticed a very interesting class that I thought I would share with all of you budding “iPhone Photographers”.  It’s called the Art of iPhoneography and it looks really fun!  The class is only 5 hours long and $75 – what a bargain!

And since every post should have a picture, I found these random photos.  Kylie when she was two and Jake at the same age.  It’s amazing to think how far we’ve come….

Crystal Oh Lisa, that’s just mean! Good thing there aren’t any In-N-Out Burgers here! A cheeseburger is 13 points and once you add the fries, it’s 24 points!!! That leaves just 5 points for the rest of the day…..
