Monday Love / Celebrating Dad

Another edition of Monday Love…

A quote: He didn’t tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it. -Clarence Buddington Kelland

Something personal: We had a wonderful weekend.  Jeff spent most of Saturday working in the garage (which is one of his favorite things to do).  Sunday we went out for a leisurely family breakfast, followed by a wonderful cookout with friends in the evening.  I’ve been very busy getting all of my clients their Father’s Day photo gifts, but I was proud of myself for making the time to do a special Father’s Day album for Jeff this year.  Believe it or not, I don’t do too many photo gifts for him – you know, the whole cobbler’s kid doesn’t have shoes syndrome (something like that).  Anyway, I thought it turned out super cute – and he seemed excited about it.  Of course, he was MORE excited about his new watch (that he picked out and sent me the link to buy) – but that’s understandable.  🙂

Cheers to my hubby!  Thanks for picking me to spend the REST OF YOUR LIFE with!  😉  XOXO

The crew at breakfast…

And a few shots of the little album I did for Jeff.

Something I love: I often wonder if anyone has trouble finding the perfect cup/water bottle/sports bottle.  I have bought many different kinds in the search for the right one.  A couple years ago I invested in several sport bottles from Kleen Kanteen and was diligent about filling them with water and putting them in the fridge so we could grab them on our way out (instead of bottled water).  The problem is, they are hard to drink from due to the suction from the spout.  Plus, in the summer, they sweat like crazy! Last fall I bought the 3-pack Contigo water bottles at Costco as well as the three pack kids cups.  LOVE these.  Instead of “sucking” the water out, it flows freely when you push the button, then seals when you release the button (no spills).  But, here we are in the summer again and the water doesn’t stay cold long enough if I take it out during the day.   As I was walking through Barnes & Noble I spotted a double-wall insulated Contigo bottle – problem solved!! I’m in love with this one!  I’ll have to get one for Jeff – and the insulated one for Kylie to take to school.
